Hello, I want to start with a great big Thank you to all the new volunteers, thank you for making that decision to send alittle of your free time helping some wonderful kitties that truly deserve the best life, and are waiting for that special someone to take them home. I understand how valuable time is. For you to give a few hours each week means the world to these kitties and I am glad to have you join the family.

On to business, Kitty updates, Sahvanna has been spay and is waiting to go home, I am guessing next week. Rain was spay a little bit ago, and has been adopted, she is waiting to go home. Cuddle bug was in quarentine, and had gottin adopted, she went home this past week. Last night a couple came in for the 4 or 5th time to see Jeremy, I hope they are planning to adopt him, but I can not comfirm that yet. Peppa has been spay and waiting to go home. Poor Mr. Smokey has worms, he has started treatment on Wednesday night. Logan is in the back room, he is still having some trouble pooping. He has gone to the vet a few times now. Caution do not stand to his back side just incase the cork pops. I am kidding, that poor kid. I worry about him. Roscoe is still with Cindi and is coming right along. The swelling has gone down, but he is still not eating as much as she would like. I think he may still be adjusting to the teeth that were taken out.? I miss him. Garfield is coming out of his shell, what a good boy!! He is so sweet. He is eating now!! Thankx to everyone, Great team work, my furry friends!! I think I am leaving someone out here? Let me know who I missed, or who you want more info on.

Upcoming events: I just talked with Jean, I think we will have our Yard Sale on Saturday, May 21, 9am to 4pm. Yes the same day as Reach the Beach. So everyone it is time to clean out that closet, back room, shed, garage etc.......... Spring Clean...........Anything you know you should get rid of, now is the right time. Clean that house for a good cause!!  We will try to clear one of the sheds for storage, if you know someone that has something "sellable" to get rid of, we "may" be able to store it. I am asking everyone to please hold on to your stuff, so we can store stuff that is being donated. We will advertise this, so we need that space for things coming in.

Thank you Reach The Beach: May 21 this seems like it is going to be a blast!!! I am listing the web address here I need everyone to check this out!! We need more volunteers to sign up to help us raise the money we will get for being apart of this event. http://ma.rtbrelay.com/ the home page & . https://ma.rtbrelay.com/reg_volunteer.php" target="_blank">https://ma.rtbrelay.com/reg_volunteer.php  the volunteer sign up sheet!! Please take a few minutes to read about this event. So the short of it: we need a certain number of people to host a stop/go station during the race. Runners will stop at our station and then another set of runners will start at our station. (No we are not signing up to be the runners). OK so the station we will host is at 2:00am til 8:00am, yes I said AM, at Sysco in their parking lot, (right down the road). We will be helping to direct vans with runners, parking incoming guests who want to cheer on there favorite runners, we will be selling food and drinks to everyone. We will be having a great time, making money for the kitties. This is a short discription of the event, please take 2 minutes and read about it!!!!  go now, I'll wait right here while you go, GO, DO IT NOW! Thank you, Did you sign up? DO IT!!!

We are going to have so much fun!! Adopt-a-thon/ Bake Sale: 2 days April 30 & May 1. We need extra hands on deck for these two days. I believe it will run 11am to 4pm? I need everyone to ask someone who likes to bake for a baked good for the bake sale!! Please!! There is flyers at the shelter, if you can hang them at work or the gym, or the library, or the post office, or the grocery store, etc... anywhere you can please!!! This is the 2 day adopt out as many as we can weekend, it runs nation wide. There will be a sign up sheet on the counter for those extra hands needed.

All Volunteer Meeting: April 17, 12:00pm til done at the shelter. Please remember to being any questions, concerns, comments, stories etc....... I will go over all these other events a more also.

Craft Fair: November 19, at the Taunton Inn. We are starting to get crafters looking to sign up!!! I am excited!!  Jean is working on the application now, if you know someone who crafts give them a flyer, they are on the counter. Up coming idea: SPRING CLEANING!! I want to wash walls, windows, clear out cabinets and wash inside, Etc, Etc, Etc...........................

I would like to thank Chris & Lynne for a fabulous job they did Wednesday night on the floors. The place has a cleaner smell already. If you have an idea of the next day you are available to do them again, let me know, I would like to do them every other time you do them. I would like them to be done once a week! So I will do them next week and maybe you can do them the following week? Thank you so very much!! This is all for today, I would like to take this time while I have your attention to say, Listen, there is no way on earth everyone is going to get along with everyone else. I can't get along with myself half the time, forget anyone else. But there is a reason you come to this shelter, I know it is not to make friends with me! It is for these furry little love muffins who are stuck in these damn cages. We come because we can not afford to take all of them home. We come because we love kitties and want more in our lives. We come because they need us too. We come because we care. We need to take a step back and really look at ourself for a minute. Who really gives a poop what so & so thinks of us/you. We need to realize that in different ways we are all here for the same reason, for these fuzzy, cute, wonderful furballs of happiness! Everyone contributes in a different way, some socialize, some clean, some organize, some for medicial, some for controling the population, some for advertisment, some for spirit. See different things but for the same reason. Just becuase I do not do things for the same reason you do, that does not mean I do it wrong!! Please take a step outside yourself to see we are all trying to help the kitties!!!!!

So I thank you each and everyone of you for what you do The way you do it!NOW lets get on the same page and start working TOGETHER!!      I Love you all!!  .............Meow Lisa
