Hello Feline Friends,
It has been 2 weeks since the last post, I am sorry for the delay. I have been working overtime at the hotel we served about 800 people for Easter Brunch, I have had a few orders for Belgian Falls (my own small business) & My Goddess daughter had her baptism. I have been a little pre-occupied:) So I have the latest updates on the kitties, I think everyone may know this stuff, but maybe I have a surprise or two. But, First things, First! To all of you who were unable to make the meeting on April 17, I need you to fill out a NEW volunteer application, Please read it carefully and fill in all areas. On the Front page there is the "check all you are interested in doing" section, please consider all of them, example: if you have any other time during the week and/or weekend that you might be able to fill in if we desperately need people (this is only occasionally) please check that line and fill in the day and time. Please understand I am not asking you to do more, I am asking you for a little flexibility to help, so others can take time away to enjoy themselves, as they will do for you (this is only occasionally). Second page top section, please fill in the days and times you are currently doing, please understand this is a commitment, I need everyone to be responsible for your shift(s) this means calling (as soon as possible, I understand life does not schedule change and emergency when it is convenient, the list of contact people is at the shelter on the other leopard bulletin board, down the hall. Please try to get in touch with me first, then Jean then Cindi) when you are not able to come or you can write it on the calendar (Please give 1 week notice before the date you will not be available, The sooner you can post it the better, This is when I will need to know who is available to fill in.) on the leopard bulletin board next to the fridge, or you can send me an email (the email must give at least 1 week notice).
Please be aware of the calendar and the days that are short of people, if you can fill in on a date that someone is not available, That would be a great help. Please write your name & "filling in" on that day. ( I know for myself I do not get my schedule until the Wednesday before, so I could not possibly give any kind of available to fill in day or time, but when I get my schedule I can see where I can fill in, I know everyone is different, and has different situations. I am just trying to be a step ahead of everyone's needs. I will always do my best to make sure the kitties are well taken care of, just as I know you would do the same. The middle signature is for the commitment to the days & times you are available for. The last section is the waiver, I wrote Weaver(This place is like a spider's web, once your in, it's tough to get out, (in a good way, the love of the kitties keeps you), please read that section and sign again. I need everyone whom has not done so yet to be done with it on your next shift!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please & Thank you Bunches...............
OK Kitty Time:
Molly is back. She is still as sweet and lovey as the day she left, when you see her please give her a kiss for me.
Jelly Bean is back. Have you ever seen such a cute lion cut on a kitty? I love the boots. She feels like a fresh peach. She is also as sweet as ever. She needs to be in a kitty only home. She does not like dogs. I myself do not blame her, have you seen that kid, she deserves all the attention, no dog should be in the presence of such feline sweetness as the Jelly Bean.
Candy has been adopted.
Nugget has been adopted.
Bob has been adopted.
Sammy & Paws have just been neutered & have been adopted.
Oj has gone home.
Bandit in the back hall is new, she is alittle fresh but sweet. she will scratch alittle, Try not to fuss with her too much, that is when she gets alittle fresh.
Puppy was neutered.
Sadie moved from the feral room into the Q-room, what a doll. (Patty you are right, I love her. Thank you for your patience).
Cheyenne in the medical room, is a wise old women at the age of 18, her house mate Abu, in the feral room is just as wise and old. But they are quite the part, I think they are the perfect match. Cheyenne is strong and bossy and Abu is patient and sweet. I would like to see them go home together.
OK, now for the medical updates: Jelly Bean is eating ID wet and the same dry as Whitey. She gets 1.5ml of the liquid in the brown bottle(it should be on top of Whitey and Mia's cage), once a day, please add it to her wet food. There should be a chart there you can initial when you give it, Once a day.
Angel is on wet food only, I think it is still the whole can 2x a day, please check for cage chart to be sure it is the whole can.
Cheyenne is getting special dry, it is on top her cage.
Frosty also has a special dry, on top his cage.
Logan is still on laxatone. please see his chart for updated instruction.
Ricky is happy eating the whiskas pooches the fish flavors.
Eclipse has been seen by Shawna. She thinks Eclipse has born with her eye like that, she is mostly blind on that side, she may be able to see shadow. Please be sure to give her extra love. When going into her cage please be sure she is aware you are there first. If she is not facing you she may get spooked. Please give her 2 kiss and 5 hugs for me every 6 minutes then 3 kisses and 2 hugs every 15 minutes after the first half hour. I truly love her!!

So someone else does not bring the same.
Thank youFor those interested to know what the initials mean for the special foods: Id, Kd, Nf etc, etc. Cindi has taken the time to research and get the best description together for those with concern or question why who needs which lettered foods. That sheet is posted in the medical room on the inside of the door. Thank you Cindi!!
OK, This is enough for today, I will have more event updates for the "Reach the Beach" and the "Yard Sale", soon. I want to say thank you to those who enjoy the post and to those who don't, it is not a professionals' writing, This I am not. I hope you understand I say everything in love and light for all involved with caring for these wonderful creatures. I am not trying to be smug, and I am definitely not power hungry, I see a gap in communication(did I spell it right finally?) I am trying to help everyone be on the same side of the scratching post at the same time to see and hear what is going on. Things change quickly. Rather than wasting your time reading my miss spelled rambles. Please, simply let me know and I will remove you from the email list. Also, if you have any suggestions to help improve the post, I am more then happy to take your constructive criticism. please understand, I do not have time right now to take professional writing classes, so you will have to deal with it and all the miss spelling and rambling, these are the things that make me different, Love it or hate it, but you are still paying attention to it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Love Love Forever Love I sew the things I intend to reap. If your needle is dull and your shovel is worn, maybe the time is now to pack it in!!
Blessed Be, Meow Lisa.............Loves you ![]()
