Pirate is one of our "special needs" cats. He is a
handsome 11 month old kitten. Pirate was diagnosed a
few months ago as diabetic, which is rare in a cat so
young. He is now on a special diet, and his glucose
levels checked daily. It has taken some time to get
Pirate's glucose levels in the proper range. This week,
Pirate had another health challenge. Pirate was found
to have a bad kidney infection. This landed Pirate in
the hospital for 5 days. Four of those days Pirate was
in the ICU. Pirate is now back in his foster
home resting, and playing. His sugar level has
improved and his energy level is back up. Here is a
video of Pirate while he was in the hospital.
Pirate's hospital bill was just under $2000.00. We are
currently looking for sponsors to help pay Pirate's bill.
If you would like to help sponsor Pirate, donations
